Firehouse Restaurant Sacramento Wedding Photos

Firehouse Restaurant Sacramento wedding photos of a couple's spring time ceremony located in the rustic courtyard located in Old Town.

The Firehouse Restaurant is one the top wedding and event venues in the greater Sacramento area of Northern California. The Firehouse Restaurant is located in historical Old Town Sacramento area of downtown. The red bricked building dates back to 1853 as one of the original fire houses in Sacramento which housed the engine company NO. 3. These three fire houses in Sacramento made them the first organized fire department in the state of California. Once it was no longer in use and sat empty for years it was eventually purchased and remolded back into a restaurant and bar in 1959. This was the first building to finally be renovated in the historical district of Old Sacramento. The building is nestled along the wooden plank walk ways that connect the other shops along the old cobble streets of Old Sac. This historic restaurant opened in 1960 and is still in operation today for dining service and special events. It has been voted one of the most romantic restaurants and best wedding venues in all of Sacramento California. The Firehouse is also named by Zagat as one of “America’s top Restaurants”. This dinning establishment is a true gem of the city.

The Firehouse Restaurant plays host to weddings and special events year around. There is no dressing room onsite. So all getting ready actives will have to take place somewhere else. Luckily with being so close to downtown you’ll have lots of hotels to choose from. Once you and your bridal party are ready you’ll head on over to the Firehouse.

Your ceremony and reception will take place in the back courtyard and the lower half of the restaurant. The ceremonies are held in a red brick walled off courtyard that has gorgeous ivy growing all around it. There are a couple huge trees back there that gives the courtyard ample amounts of shade, which is a plus on those hot summer days. This courtyard reminds me of something you would see in New Orleans and not in Sacramento. The walls and trees are high enough to give you lots of seclusion and privacy from the rest of Old Sacramento and all the visitors walking around. The courtyard is decorated beautifully with a huge water fountain, plants, flowers and old charming benches that line this amazing outdoor space. This ceremony site is a true gem and looks amazing in photos and in person. Most all ceremonies take place against the south facing brick wall. This leaves most of your guest under the shade of the giant tree that’s located in the back. For small ceremonies or when the weather calls for it these events can take place inside the indoor area know as the Courtyard Grill. The Courtyard Grill has super tall ceilings and the center piece is the giant stained glass dome skylight that is in the middle of the ceiling. This skylight lets in ample amount of natural light into this indoor space. This stained glass skylight is also a pleasure to look at and more of an art piece than and functional window. The nice thing about having access to the Courtyard Grill is that fact that events can take place here year around.

Once your ceremony is over your guest will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the courtyard and inside the Courtyard Grill. During this time you’ll be able to venture around the property and the walk ways around Old Sacramento taking wedding photos. Once your back from your portrait session and ready for your reception the Courtyard and Courtyard Grill will be set up for your dinner service and events for the rest of the night. One item that most guest our couples really never talk about after a wedding day is the food and service. The Firehouse will have you talking about your meals long after the wedding is over. If your wedding or event takes place here you need to realize that your event dinner and hors d’oeuvres will be of the same quality of food that is served in the main dinning room. Your guest and you will be served that same award winning Zagat rated food that has all of Sacramento raving about. Also your food and drinks will be served by that same wait staff that has been so highly trained at treating every guest like they are the most important guest. This combination of food and service will make your special day feel all that much more special. It’s amazing how far good customer service will make you think better of a restaurant or event location. The Firehouse is top notch when it comes to customer service. Receptions can be held indoors and outdoors depending on the size of your event and weather. Your event can also use both the outdoor and indoor areas, which most wedding do. The nice thing about the location of the Firehouse is it’s close proximity to downtown and all the hotels that are near by. This gives your out of town guest lots of lodge options to choose from. The 4,000 square foot courtyard is big enough to hold events of all sizes. The Courtyard grill is the indoor location of the wedding and event center. It can hold smaller weddings and receptions inside. When your reception events are over your dance party will take place out in the open confines of the courtyard.

This wedding venue should be at the top of the list for most couples looking to host their wedding in the downtown area of Sacramento. Please be sure to contact them to schedule a site visit and see this amazing event location.
